About the Founder

TDV Founder Gavin Pommernelle is a seasoned executive leader with over 20 years of experience in global talent leadership roles across multiple industries. His culturally informed and pragmatic approach has made him a sought-after advisor and coach for C-suite and senior executives in the healthcare, technology, and marketing services sectors. He excels in helping start-ups and large established organizations enhance their personal and team effectiveness.

Gavin’s expertise is in organizational effectiveness through organizational strategy and design, change management for successful execution, and enterprise leadership performance. His approach is built on a foundation of practical business skills and a unique, culturally aware, and pragmatic perspective gained from multiple international leadership roles, enhanced by more than 25 years of developing solutions that are scalable and sustainable.

Before his consulting career, Gavin served as CHRO at Synovate, a global market research firm based in London, and at Harte Hanks Inc. in the USA. He also led the HR function for Pentland Brands PLC in London and Hong Kong, following successful roles in quality and sales in his native South Africa.

Gavin currently serves on the Board of Directors at Gaudenzia, and as an Adjunct Instructor at Cornell University. He earned his MBA from Heriot Watt University and completed programs at USC (Strategic Organization Design), Ashridge University (Leading Strategy & Change), and Cranfield University (Advanced Project Management). He is a member of the International Coach Federation.
